Teaching

Victor holds a Master's degree in Teaching and Coaching Dance Professionals from the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). His first teaching experience came while living in Brazil, where he began teaching movement classes taking his initial steps into dance pedagogy.

In the years that followed, Victor learned from fantastic dance teachers all around Europe. Subsequently, he was able to teach in places such as: St. Gallen Dance Company, the National Ballet of Kosovo, and Bachelor students from Zurich University of the Arts. Additionally, he worked as a Rehearsal Director and Choreographer Assistant for artists in Switzerland such as Diane Gemsch and Aly Khamees, in different productions.

Victor is now based in Zürich, where he offers company classes, contemporary, improvisation sessions for dancers in training, as well as Samba and Brazilian funk classes for non and professional dancers.

With his MA thesis research on the Intersection of Drag and Dance Pedagogy (How to Empower Dance Professionals through Drag Culture), Victor aims to bring unique approaches to pedagogy into dance studios and institutions.

While exploring the contemporary landscape of Dance and Drag, Victor's interest in the field of dance education has always been an important part of his practice. In his classes, you'll find not only the daily basis for improvisation and creativity demanded from professional dancers but also the joy and power of various dance genres.

"Brazil is a huge country, not only in its size but also in its culture. I can't wait to see more and more of this diversity in European studios and perhaps one day on stage."
